Exterior Rendering (Broadway St. view)
The exterior of the existing sanctuary structure remains relatively unchanged; to the west you can see the addition/renovation of the current education wing. The main entrance that you see on this side of the building takes you directly into the new narthex.
Exterior Rendering (parking lot view)
A second main entrance brings you into the building from the existing parking lot. Note that the height of the entryway overhang will be lowered from what is depicted in this initial drawing.
The narthex, built off the west wall of the sanctuary, is the main gathering area for people as they enter and leave the worship space. A small kitchen off the narthex allows this space to be used for fellowship hour. The narthex is also able to become overflow space for large worship services.
A view of the sanctuary. In the proposal, the orientation of the sanctuary will be turned 90 degrees to face east instead of north. The organ moves to the floor, and a new balcony is built over the back of the space.
