Worship

Worship is at the heart of our life together. Each week the Holy Spirit gathers us around God’s gifts of grace. We listen as God’s Word is read and preached. We respond to the good news in song and prayer. We come to the Lord’s table and are fed with Christ’s presence in the bread and wine of Holy Communion.

At the end of the service, we are sent into the world to bring God’s mercy, love and forgiveness to all people.

Worship is for everyone and all of us are invited to share our gifts in worship. Whether by singing in one of our choirs, reading the scripture lessons, assisting with communion, or offering hospitality by serving as an usher or greeter, you too can be involved in leading our community in worship.

Our worship leads us into the world that God loves. Our workplaces, families and communities become places where God calls us to service in Christ’s name. As a community of faith, we are committed to making Christ known through worship, education, and service to God and God’s people. Grounded in the Gospel of God’s grace, we believe that through Christ’s love, our lives and our world can be transformed.

Making Christ known is something that each one of us is called to do. We at First Lutheran Church invite you to join us on this journey.
