Rev. Chad Huebner
Pastor Chad began serving as Senior Pastor at First Lutheran on All Saint’s Day, November 1, 2011. Originally from Ohio, Pastor Chad’s journey to Decorah has been a winding road. Completing undergraduate studies at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and seminary at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Pastor Chad has served congregations in New Mexico, Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. Pastor Chad and his wife Cheryl have twin sons, Caleb and Cole.
Rev. Melissa Bills
Pastor Melissa has been serving as Associate Pastor at First Lutheran since March of 2013. A native of the Chicago suburbs, she graduated St. Olaf College in 2003 and Princeton Theological Seminary in 2006. She spent a year studying at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago before completing her internship in Rockford, Illinois, and spending nearly four years at her first call in Naperville, Illinois. She loves writing, music, liturgy, and the arts. You can read her sermons and writings at The Holy Imagination. Pastor Melissa and her husband Matthew have two children, Samuel and Eleanor.
Director of Youth and Family Ministries
Adrian serves as the Director of Youth and Family Ministry at FLC. His family includes wife Linda and their two children, Luke and Adam. Adrian also coordinates the New Song worship service and dabbles in young adult ministry. In addition to his family, Adrian loves a good cup of coffee, baseball, and most any kind of strategy game. Sunday School Superintendent
Jill attended Luther College where she majored in education and minored in dance. Following Luther, she continued to further her studies about children and completed her Masters Degree in Education. She grew up in Rochester, MN and lived in Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee before settling in Decorah in 2006. She is primarily a stay at home mom who is raising three boys, Isaac, Henrik, and Lars and married to Thomas. Her days involve full time volunteering, exercising outside and acting as CHO (Chief Home Officer).
Parish Visitor and Volunteer Coordinator
Jenine is mother of two, grandmother of 6 and friend to many. She is energized by people, music, good conversation, grandchildren, and learning new things. She has been a spouse, teacher, a professional volunteer, and a medical social worker. She flunked retirement and now enjoys the people with whom she works both at First Lutheran and in the Decorah community.
