Drivers Needed
Volunteers Drivers Needed this summer in Postville: Volunteers drivers are needed to transport Postville community members who do not have transportation of their own to medical appointments, immigration hearings, etc. Driving distances and times vary.

Blitz Build June 13th and June 20th
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity 2009 -- Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity announce a "blitz build" for their 2009 Thrivent Builds home. Volunteers are needed for Saturday, June 13th and Saturday, June 20th, 8:30am - 4:00pm. No experience necessary!
The construction site is located at 2496 170th Avenue in Freeport, IA. If you are unable to volunteer, please consider a financial pledge. Call 563-382-1802 to volunteer and for more detailed information.
Kitchen Clean-up
It’s kitchen cleaning time! Please remove all of your pots and cake pans from the corner counter. Remaining items will be sold at the WELCA rummage sale. Thank you.
We invite families to join us for a wide range of events including hay rides, Sunday school, and worship. Come, join our community! Here are just a few of the great activities available:
Sunday School – Sunday School classes are from 9:40 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. Programming is available for kids ages 4 through 12, and a staffed nursery is available for 0-3 year-olds so adults can participate.
Wednesday After School – Our goal is to give kids in Grades 1 through 9 a safe and welcoming place Wednesday afternoons. Activities start at 3:15 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. A meal is served from 5:20 to 6 p.m., and families are welcome.
Family Ministry – Fun activities are planned each month for families to enjoy together, such as concerts, hay rides, service opportunities and a ski trip.
Youth Programs – Grades 3 through Senior High are welcome to participate in a wide variety of programs for fellowship, learning and fun.
Choir – First Lutheran offers choirs for Grade 1 through adult. Come and sing!
